The certificate was presented on-site by Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV, to Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy. The turbine, launched in 2024, has already secured multiple orders in China and international markets and passed through component testing, digital-twin simulation, multi-site prototype operation and commercial deployment.

Lou said the certification demonstrates the platform's readiness to serve customers across diverse international markets as Envision continues developing intelligent, high-performance turbine technologies.

Bureau Veritas clears 5.0 MW platform for Asia-Pacific in under five months

Separately at the same event, Envision's EN-156/5.0 MW platform received a Provisional Type Certificate from Bureau Veritas, with the assessment process completed in less than five months. The platform, engineered for the Asia-Pacific region, features a 110-meter hub height and enhanced anti-corrosion specifications built for high-salinity, high-humidity coastal conditions.

Sri Lanka deployment marks Envision's first utility-scale order in the country

The EN-156/5.0 MW is being installed at the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka, Envision's first utility-scale wind turbine order there. The combination of third-party certification and active project deployment ties the platform's design directly to a commercial, environmentally demanding application in the region.

Redanz said independent certification gives manufacturers, developers and other stakeholders a basis to assess the performance, reliability and compliance of new turbine platforms before wider deployment.
