Envision Energy Launches 16.7 MW EN-252 Offshore Turbine for High-Wind Sites

Hamburg – September 24, 2026 -- Envision Energy has launched the EN-252/16.7, a 16.7 MW offshore wind turbine engineered for high-wind sites, with the company projecting a 2-4% reduction in levelized cost of energy for gigawatt-scale wind farms.

Turbine cuts unit count by roughly 10% while lifting energy output

The EN-252/16.7 carries a swept-area-to-power ratio of approximately 2.99 square meters per kilowatt. For a gigawatt-scale offshore project, Envision states the turbine can generate 1-2% higher annual energy output while requiring around 10% fewer units than currently available turbines, translating into the estimated LCOE reduction depending on site conditions and project configuration. The design also allows uprating at suitable sites, offering further scope to cut turbine numbers and capital expenditure.

Benguerir, Morocco – September 20, 2026 -- Envision Energy has energised Morocco's first large-scale lithium iron phosphate battery storage system, a 25 MW / 125 MWh unit installed at OCP Green Energy's Benguerir mining site.

System cuts peak-hour electricity costs by roughly 25% at industrial site

The battery storage system, supplied and commissioned by Envision Energy under a contract signed in late 2025, shifts surplus daytime solar power to peak consumption hours. The company integrated the BESS with the site's solar generation, grid conditions and industrial load profile, and the system is now undergoing testing before entering commercial operation.
