Envision Energy Wins TÜV SÜD IEC 62443-3-3 SL2 Cybersecurity Certificate

Hamburg – September 25, 2026 -- Envision Energy has secured an IEC 62443-3-3 Security Level 2 (SL2) certificate from TÜV SÜD for its wind farm control system, covering SCADA, PPC, PLC and industrial network devices. The certification was announced during WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 and extends independently validated cybersecurity capabilities from individual control components to the full wind farm system level.

Certification covers system-wide security mechanisms across SCADA, PPC and PLC

IEC 62443-3-3 is a globally recognized standard focused on system-level security requirements, assessing how components, networks and security mechanisms function together within an overall control system. The TÜV SÜD certificate provides third-party validation that Envision Energy's wind farm control architecture meets these system-level requirements.

Company now holds certifications across four layers of the cybersecurity stack

Envision Energy's IEC 62443 portfolio now spans its Secure Development Lifecycle (certified to IEC 62443-4-1), core components including SCADA, PPC and PLC (IEC 62443-4-2 SL2), the wind farm control system (IEC 62443-3-3 SL2), and its system security integration and maintenance services (IEC 62443-2-4). The combination covers development, hardware, system-level integration and ongoing service delivery.

Executives frame certification as part of continuous compliance push in international markets

Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Envision Energy, said the certificate reflects the company's commitment to meeting evolving cybersecurity and compliance requirements in international markets, including Europe, and described it as a foundation for continuous improvement rather than an end point.

Frank L. Blaimberger, Vice President Global Innovation Lead for Digitized Compliance Solutions and Connected Systems at TÜV SÜD, said the certificate addresses cybersecurity at the system level, complementing security capabilities already established across Envision Energy's core control components, and that independent verification against internationally recognized standards can strengthen confidence in the security and reliability of wind energy infrastructure.
