Slater, Iowa – October 02, 2026 -- The Mid America CropLife Association (MACA) has named Farm4Profit Media, the agricultural media company led by CEO Tanner Winterhof, the inaugural recipient of its Industry Impact of the Year Award. MACA President Aaron Deardorff presented the award at the association's annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 10, 2026.
Farm4Profit's reach tops 400,000 followers and 111 million social impressions
MACA cited Farm4Profit Media's scale in making the award: more than 400,000 followers, over 111 million social media impressions, 59 million YouTube views and more than 6 million podcast downloads. The Farm4Profit Podcast ranks in Spotify's top 1% of video podcasts and has run more than 700 episodes featuring producers, innovators and industry leaders.
A banking background shaped the show's focus on farm balance sheets
Winterhof spent 15 years as a loan officer and commercial banker in central Iowa before co-founding Farm4Profit in 2014 and launching the podcast in June 2019 with co-hosts Corey Hillebo and David Whitaker. That history set the show's editorial lane toward working capital, cost per acre, interest expense and succession planning, treated as business decisions rather than production topics. The team produces from Studio 205, a facility built inside a former Casey's General Store in Slater, a town of roughly 1,400 residents.
A 2026 tour put the company at five major industry events, including an interview with a USDA undersecretary
Farm4Profit Media's winter tour covered the U.S. Custom Harvesters convention, the New York Corn & Soybean Growers annual meeting, CattleCon in Nashville, the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville and Commodity Classic in San Antonio, where it interviewed the USDA undersecretary for farm production and conservation. The company has also directed its audience toward disaster response, raising $48,412 for Iowa and Nebraska tornado relief in 2024 and shifting coverage after the 2020 derecho hit central Iowa.
"A farmer might not pull out his balance sheet at the coffee shop, but he'll sit down and talk about what worked, what didn't and what it cost him," said Winterhof. "This award says something bigger than just recognizing a podcast. It shows that agriculture has changed how it shares knowledge."
MACA represents crop protection industry members across 13 Midwestern states and created the Industry Impact of the Year Award this year, making Farm4Profit Media its first winner.
