Rabbi Arthur Schneier honors FedEx CEO for global trade leadership
Rabbi Arthur Schneier, Founder and President of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, cited Subramaniam's international leadership and his role in connecting people worldwide through logistics innovation. Schneier, who founded the interfaith coalition in 1965, also received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the same gala for his decades-long work on religious freedom and interfaith cooperation.
Bank of America's Brian Moynihan chairs the 61st annual event
Brian Moynihan, Chair and CEO of Bank of America, chaired this year's gala. The Appeal of Conscience Award has previously gone to a roster of global business figures including Bernard Arnault, Mary Barra, Michael Bloomberg, Albert Bourla, Robert Iger, Stephen A. Schwarzman, Masayoshi Son, Virginia Rometty and Timotheus Höttges, alongside statesmen such as Henry Kissinger and Paul Volcker.
Subramaniam marks 30-plus years at FedEx and 2022 CEO transition
Subramaniam became FedEx's second CEO in company history in 2022, following more than 30 years at the firm and prior roles including President and Chief Operating Officer. In 2023, he received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award, India's highest civilian honor for members of its diaspora recognizing achievements in India and abroad.
Accepting the award, Subramaniam said connecting the world through trade and innovation builds bridges and fosters international cooperation beyond the movement of goods, and pledged to leverage FedEx's global reach toward a more unified world.
