Las Vegas – September 24, 2026 -- Global Fight League (OTC: GFLE) has signed a seven-figure binding Letter of Intent with investor Ryan Brockbank for the rights to own and operate the league's first independently owned franchise, marking its inaugural third-party ownership deal.
GFL secures non-refundable payment to fund Argentina proof-of-concept event
GFL has received and deposited a non-refundable initial payment toward the seven-figure purchase price, with the remaining balance due in 2027. The capital will help finance an international proof-of-concept event in Argentina during the fourth quarter of 2026, with further details expected in the coming week, as well as preparations for the league's first full season of competition in 2027.
Brockbank's franchise targets 2028 launch as fifth team in league structure
GFL currently owns and operates four founding teams based in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and London. Brockbank's independently owned franchise is targeted to begin competition in 2028, with its home market, team name and identity still to be announced. Under the contemplated transaction, Brockbank would receive territorial rights in a market yet to be disclosed, along with the right to operate a GFL team and participate in league revenues, subject to definitive agreements.
Company expands capital base through additional franchise talks
GFL said it is in discussions with other prospective ownership groups regarding additional team franchises in other markets, though it cautioned there is no assurance these talks will result in completed transactions. Executive Chairman Vince Hesser said the seven-figure commitment demonstrates "meaningful commercial interest in the franchise model" the company is building.
Brockbank, an entrepreneur with more than 28 years of experience in construction and property development, described the deal as a long-term investment aimed at building a franchise team from the ground up. GFL Commissioner Darren Owen said the agreement supports the league's broader vision of franchise owners developing their own rosters, fan bases and participating in league economics.
