Los Angeles – September 07, 2026 -- Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added David M. Herzog, a former Assistant U.S. Attorney with more than 18 years of federal prosecutorial experience, as a shareholder in its Litigation Practice in Los Angeles.
Herzog brings nearly two decades of federal case-management and trial expertise to the firm's litigation bench
Herzog served with the U.S. Attorney's Offices in Los Angeles and Spokane, Washington, holding leadership posts including Chief of Appeals, Deputy Criminal Chief, and Deputy Chief of the Violent and Organized Crimes Section. He briefed and argued dozens of matters before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and led investigations spanning international human trafficking and organized crime cases requiring coordination of large legal teams and extensive evidentiary records.
Firm leadership cites strong pipeline of trial and arbitration matters as driver for the hire
Los Angeles Co-Managing Shareholders Gregory A. Fishman and Barbara A. Jones said Herzog's experience building and defending cases at every stage would immediately strengthen the firm's bench in Los Angeles and across its broader platform, pointing to a robust pipeline of matters heading toward trial and arbitration.
Greenberg Traurig CEO Brian L. Duffy said Herzog's ability to manage sophisticated matters from investigation through trial and appeal would be an asset as companies face increasingly complex disputes and regulatory challenges.
New shareholder to focus on commercial litigation, mass torts, and government enforcement advisory work
At Greenberg Traurig, Herzog will concentrate on complex commercial litigation, products liability and mass torts, class action defense, appeals, and trial work, while also advising clients on government-related investigations, compliance, and enforcement matters. Herzog holds a J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.Phil. from the University of Glasgow, and a B.A. summa cum laude from Loyola Marymount University, and is admitted to practice in California.
