Guideline Launches Signal, an Ad-Data Platform for Investors

New York – September 21, 2026 -- Guideline, a global provider of advertising intelligence and media plan management technology, has introduced Guideline Signal, a platform delivering ticker-level advertising data, KPI forecasts and market intelligence to investment professionals ahead of quarterly earnings. The platform becomes generally available on October 1, 2026.

Signal draws on a dataset already used by more than 50 of the world's largest hedge funds

The underlying dataset reflects roughly $200 billion in annual transactional advertising spend, sourced directly from every major holding group and numerous large independent media agencies. Because the data is captured at multiple points before a company reports quarterly results, investors can track shifts in advertising demand for a given ticker before earnings are announced.

Guideline will publish KPI forecasts for nearly 40 investor-tracked tickers

The forecasts cover key reported metrics including total revenue and advertising revenue, with error rates for many KPI forecasts below 3%. Signal replaces the spreadsheets and file deliveries investors previously relied on with an interactive interface that allows users to explore charts and tables, pin relevant views to a personal dashboard, set alerts for metric movements, and connect data directly to their own analytical environments.

The platform adds proprietary datapoints not previously available to investors

These include ticker-level forward bookings, CPM pricing, product category drivers and competitive share. Joseph Berger, Managing Director of Capital Markets at Guideline, said the platform was built alongside the investors who use the company's data daily, adding that Signal contributes accurate forecasts and market-wide intelligence unavailable elsewhere.

Signal organizes data across three distinct modules

Company Intelligence combines KPI forecasts with predictive models and underlying spend data, including committed spend, forward bookings, category drivers and competitive share for each covered ticker. Market Intelligence tracks the US advertising market as a whole, covering total spend trends, media types and subtypes, product category data and a leaderboard of top movers. Industry Insights delivers published research from Guideline's Insights and Analytics team on a recurring schedule and around specific industry themes.

Investment teams can request a demonstration through Guideline's website or a company representative.
