New York – September 19, 2026 -- HCLTech has launched HCLTech Pulse, a dedicated business unit targeting enterprises with annual revenues between $500 million and $5 billion to help them scale AI deployment and modernize technology infrastructure.
Everest Group pegs the addressable market at $400 billion, growing 7-9% annually
Peter Bendor-Samuel, Founder and Executive Chairman of Everest Group, said the mid-market technology services segment represents an approximately $400 billion global opportunity. He noted the market will favor providers combining technology depth with industry context and integrated delivery as clients shift from AI experimentation to scaled deployment.
New unit consolidates AI, cyber, data and engineering services under single delivery model
HCLTech Pulse merges AI strategy, data, cybersecurity, platforms, engineering and business process transformation into one integrated transformation agenda. The unit addresses organizations that have historically had to assemble niche providers separately across strategy, platforms, implementation and operations.
Priority areas include AI strategy and implementation grounded in safety and responsible AI practices, data and AI platforms, cloud transformation, application and enterprise-platform modernization, cybersecurity, engineering services and managed services.
HCLTech CEO frames AI adoption as requiring process redesign, not automation of existing workflows
C Vijayakumar, CEO and Managing Director of HCLTech, said AI is rewriting the economics of growth, with advantage accruing to enterprises willing to reimagine processes from the ground up rather than automate existing ones. Ashish Kumar Gupta, Global Head of the New Business Incubation Group at HCLTech, described the unit as a response to an unmet need, positioning HCLTech Pulse to bring senior attention and platform investment to client priorities as a single, accountable partner.
HCLTech reported consolidated revenues of $14.8 billion for the 12 months ending June 2026, operating across 60 countries with more than 223,000 employees.
