Shangrao – – September 12, 2026 -- JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: JKS) said its board has approved a proposal to rename the company Jinko Holdings Limited, with 晶科控股有限公司 as its dual foreign name, pending shareholder approval at an annual general meeting scheduled for October 21, 2026, and completion of regulatory procedures. The company's American depositary shares are expected to continue trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker JKS.

Name change formalizes a dual-engine holding structure

The rebrand codifies a two-part model: an industrial holdings arm anchored by JinkoSolar's controlling stake in Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. (SSE: 688223), the group's integrated solar and energy storage operating subsidiary, and a strategic investment arm pursuing minority stakes in artificial intelligence, renewable energy, advanced materials and commercial space ventures tied to China's industrial upgrading.

Portfolio spans AI unicorns to quantum-tech startups

StepFun raised more than RMB5.0 billion in a Series B+ round in January 2026, while Taiyi Quantum secured a roughly RMB300 million pre-Series A round in June 2026. SiliconFlow and Jinan Janbon Metallic Materials Co., Ltd. filed listing applications with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June and July 2026, respectively. JinkoSolar cautioned that these valuation figures are drawn from public sources and have not been independently verified.

Chief Executive Officer Dimi Du said the proposed name reflects a company built around a "world-class solar and energy storage business" that is now building "a second engine of value creation through strategic investment,
