New York – September 29, 2026 -- JPMorgan Chase claimed the No. 1 spot on the 2026 Fortune AIQ 75, a ranking of Fortune 500 companies generating measurable business impact from AI adoption, jointly produced by Fortune and ServiceNow.
Ranking expands to 75 companies from 50, with 36 new entrants
Building on the inaugural 2025 Fortune AIQ 50, the list grew by 50% this year, now spanning 18 sectors including Technology, Finance, Healthcare, Energy, Retail and Industrials. Alphabet, Coca-Cola, Amazon and Nvidia rounded out the top five, followed by Mastercard, Visa, Carrier Global, Cleveland-Cliffs and Microsoft to complete the top ten.
Listed companies collectively represent $32.1 trillion in market value
The 75 firms on the list generated a combined $7.58 trillion in revenue and $1.33 trillion in profits. Technology and Finance were the two most represented sectors, while New York and California housed more AIQ 75 companies than any other states.
ETR-designed survey and ServiceNow index formed the ranking methodology
The rankings drew on ServiceNow's 2026 Enterprise AI Maturity Index as a foundational framework, combined with a survey designed by data provider ETR that assessed technology leaders' views on AI investment value and peer adoption within their sectors. ServiceNow, as list sponsor, was excluded from eligibility and had no role in selecting honorees; Fortune and ETR independently controlled survey design, data collection and rankings.
Inaugural AIQ Summit convenes at NYSE on October 1
The list's release precedes an invite-only Fortune AIQ Summit at the New York Stock Exchange, drawing attendees and speakers from the ranked companies. Sessions will focus on identifying viable AI use cases, redesigning workflows, and scaling deployments to deliver quantifiable outcomes, distinguishing successful implementations from stalled pilots.
Jeremy Kahn, AI Editor at Fortune, said the list's expansion reflects companies across the economy moving from experimentation to implementation in areas such as operations, customer service and decision-making. Jacqui Canney, Chief People and AI Enablement Officer at ServiceNow, emphasized that the ranked companies are redesigning how work gets done and positioning employees closer to where technological change occurs.
