Hartford, Conn. – September 18, 2026 -- LAZ Parking, North America's largest privately owned parking and mobility company, unveiled a growth strategy dubbed "LAZ 3.0" that will add more than 1,000 jobs across North America within a year and expand its Hartford headquarters to house over 100 additional staff.
Tony DiPaolo and John Svendblad become Co-CEOs effective January 1, 2027
DiPaolo, who joined LAZ in 2005 and currently serves as President of the Midwest, and Svendblad, who joined in 2008 and leads the West Coast, will jointly assume the chief executive role. Combined, the two bring more than four decades of internal leadership experience at the company.
Founders form Diamond Advisory Council, commit to remain active through 2032
Chairman and CEO Alan Lazowski will move to Executive Chairman while retaining his board chairmanship. Co-founders Jeff Karp, Michael Harth and Mike Kuziak, alongside CFO Nathan Owen, will join Lazowski on the newly created Diamond Advisory Council, taking on managing-partner roles spanning M&A, people and culture, operations and technology, and finance. All five have pledged continued involvement through 2032.
Executive bench expands with new COO, CBO and incoming CFO
Eric Siskind has been named Chief Operating Officer and Steve Gresh Chief Business Officer, while Jason Bendett will become Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2027. LAZ said it will also elevate 21 senior leaders as part of the continuity plan.
New hiring targets parking, EV charging and AI-driven business intelligence
The company expects growth across parking management, transportation services, mobility hubs, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, autonomous vehicle support, and business intelligence and artificial intelligence roles, alongside corporate and field leadership positions.
Hartford expansion adds 100-plus roles across finance, technology and operations
LAZ's headquarters expansion will accommodate new positions in technology, finance, human resources, operations, marketing, customer experience, data analytics and strategic growth. LAZ has been based in Hartford for more than four decades since its founding in 1981.
Company currently manages 2.1 million parking spaces across 5,700 locations
LAZ operates in 639 cities across 44 U.S. states and eight Canadian provinces. Timothy Henry, CEO of Conscious Capitalism, described the continuity plan as a model for founder-led organizations balancing internal leadership development with sustained founder engagement.
