Miami – – September 24, 2026 -- Miami International Holdings, Inc. (MIAX) announced that its futures commission merchant, Dorman Trading, has become a clearing member of The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.
MIAX injects $40 million into its FCM, lifting adjusted net capital to $68 million
The capital increase, effective as of August 31, 2026, raises Dorman Trading's adjusted net capital to approximately $68 million. MIAX said the additional funding is intended to accelerate the FCM's growth strategy and expand its capacity to serve a broader client base.
OCC membership cuts trading costs for Bloomberg equity index futures on MIAX Futures
Thomas P. Gallagher, Chairman and CEO of MIAX, said the OCC clearing membership allows the FCM to offer clients cost and operational efficiencies when trading Bloomberg equity index futures on the MIAX Futures exchange. Gallagher called the membership a milestone supporting the company's strategy of reducing operational burdens for clients trading financial futures on the platform.
MIAX Futures launched Bloomberg index products in May 2026
MIAX Futures began trading Bloomberg equity index futures, including Tini B100 Index Futures, Tini B500 Index Futures and B500 Index Futures, on May 17, 2026. MIAX operates eight exchanges spanning options, futures, equities and international markets, including MIAX Options, MIAX Pearl, MIAX Emerald, MIAX Sapphire, MIAX Pearl Equities, MIAX Futures, the Bermuda Stock Exchange and The International Stock Exchange.
