Midea-Backed Jodell Launches Full-Stack Robot Hand Portfolio at CIIF

SHANGHAI – October 16, 2026 -- Suzhou-based Jodell Robotics, backed by a strategic industrial investment from Fortune Global 500 company Midea Group, launched three products at CIIF. It claims annual capacity above 100,000 units and more than 6,000 customers served worldwide.

Jodell launches three products to cover perception, interaction and execution

The portfolio comprises the Mozart biomimetic five-finger dexterous hand, self-developed visuo-tactile sensors and an embodied intelligence data acquisition kit. Jodell targets global research institutes, humanoid robot developers and high-end manufacturers.

Mozart hand embeds tactile sensors in every finger for precision assembly

The Mozart hand uses a distributed full-domain tactile sensing design. Each finger captures multi-dimensional data, including contact force and position, in real time. Jodell's proprietary drive and control algorithms support fine grasping. Target applications include semiconductors, 3C electronics, lithium batteries and life science automation, covering precision assembly, sample processing and flexible picking of irregular materials.

Jodell co-develops tactile sensors with SynTouch founder Gerald E. Loeb

Jodell is working with Professor Gerald E. Loeb, SynTouch founder and US National Academy of Sciences member, on human-like tactile sensors. The sensors build on BioTac technology, which Shadow Robot has adopted. They detect force, vibration and temperature and resist industrial electromagnetic interference. Mass production is being accelerated in Suzhou.

Jodell builds data platform and embodied brain on production data

Beyond hardware, Jodell is developing an embodied data platform and an embodied brain that draw on operational insights from real production data. Together with standardized modular execution units and industrial workstations, these complete what the company calls its "hand-eye-brain-data" system.

Portfolio spans 17 series and more than 50 mass-produced products

Jodell's founding team contributed to China's first space robot and draws on nearly 30 years of aerospace-grade engineering expertise. The company fully self-develops electric grippers and dexterous hands for micron-level precision. It aims to set standards for the global industrial embodied intelligence execution layer.
