Ulaanbaatar – September 13, 2026 -- Mongolian broadband provider Mobinet is deploying the Plume Platform to power its new mobihome broadband service, giving subscribers AI-optimized WiFi, cybersecurity protection and parental controls at no additional monthly cost.
Mobinet adds AI-driven WiFi and security features without raising subscriber fees
The mobihome service integrates real-time home network management through a mobile app, allowing Mobinet customers to monitor and control connectivity, security and parental settings directly. The Plume Platform continuously learns from each household to improve WiFi coverage and reliability.
Plume's global dataset spans 600 million connected devices across 60 countries
Plume, based in Palo Alto, California, serves more than 450 Internet Service Providers worldwide, and the Mobinet deployment extends the company's footprint in the Asia-Pacific region. The platform draws on data from approximately 600 million connected devices globally to optimize performance and flag network issues before they affect users.
Mobinet cites faster remote issue resolution as key deployment driver
Mobinet Chief Technology Officer Bat-Erdene Tuvd said the partnership brings global technology to Mongolia, enabling stronger WiFi, security and customer control while keeping costs unchanged for subscribers. Plume Chief Technology Officer Chris Griffiths said Mobinet selected the platform after an extensive evaluation process for its ability to deliver connectivity, security and reliability in a single solution.
Cloud-native architecture lets Mobinet avoid vendor lock-in on hardware
The Plume Platform's software-only, cloud-native design works across CPE hardware, any cloud provider and any operating system, giving Mobinet control over technology decisions. Its containerized architecture supports remote diagnostics and software updates, reducing technician visits and service interruptions while allowing new features to roll out without disrupting subscriber service.
