The award covers a single survey with a duration of about 110 days. The source does not disclose the client, the contract value or the survey area within the Mediterranean.

Contract lengthens TGS streamer backlog into early 2027

CEO Kristian Johansen said the award extends the company's streamer acquisition backlog well into the first quarter of 2027. He described it as a reflection of continued demand for high-quality seismic data supporting offshore exploration activity.

TGS Extends Indonesia's Largest Seismic Streamer Contract by a Month

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- TGS has secured a one-month extension to the largest seismic streamer acquisition contract offshore Indonesia, with the extension scheduled to start in August.

Extension keeps Ramform Sovereign working under the Indonesian contract

The extension covers the Ramform Sovereign vessel, which acquires data using TGS's GeoStreamer technology. TGS did not disclose the contract value, the client's identity, the survey area or the vessel's remaining backlog.

TGS CEO says extension improves revenue visibility

CEO Kristian Johansen said the extension reflects the client's continued confidence in the Ramform Sovereign and GeoStreamer. He added that the project strengthens revenue visibility while TGS delivers high-quality seismic data with industry-leading acquisition efficiency.

The extension is short, at one month. Its financial impact is therefore likely to be limited, and TGS has not published figures.

OSLO – October 11, 2026 -- TGS has launched a 514-square-kilometer 3D PSDM Multi-Parameter-FWI reprocessing project over PETRONAS' 2025 Megah discovery in Block SB-3K, offshore Sabah, Malaysia, with final products due in April 2027.

TGS applies elastic full waveform inversion to its 2017 Sabah dataset

The project applies TGS' Elastic Multi-Parameter Full Waveform Inversion and depth imaging technologies to the company's own legacy Geostreamer Sabah multi-client 3D Phase 2 dataset, acquired in 2017. TGS aims to deliver an improved dataset built on a high-resolution velocity model and diffraction imaging across the Megah Field.

Processing began in July 2026 and runs to April 2027

Work started in July 2026. Final products are scheduled for April 2027, roughly nine months after the project began.
