Parakeet Health, Qualderm Deploy AI to Cut Dermatology Wait Times

San Francisco and Nashville – September 11, 2026 -- Parakeet Health and Qualderm have launched an AI-driven scheduling collaboration to reconnect dermatology patients across a network of nearly 160 practices in 17 states, as appointment wait times climb nationwide.
Dermatology wait times rise 6% since 2022, hitting 36.5 days on average
A recent study cited by the companies found patients in 15 major U.S. metropolitan areas now wait an average of 36.5 days for a dermatology appointment, up 6% since 2022. Qualderm, a management services organization supporting medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, skin cancer care, and plastic surgery practices, cited this access gap as the driver behind the partnership.
