London – September 12, 2026 -- Replit, the agentic software-building platform, opened its first office outside the United States this week in London's King's Cross Knowledge Quarter, marking the company's formal entry into international markets. London Mayor Sadiq Khan attended the opening ceremony, and the company said it will use the city as its hub for European operations.
Replit plans to double London headcount and investment within a year
The company, founded in 2016 and headquartered in San Francisco, said it expects to double both its workforce and its investment in London over the coming year as it expands globally alongside businesses of all sizes. Replit reports more than 60 million users worldwide and says its platform is used inside 85% of Fortune 500 companies.
The London launch follows a string of recent moves, including a collaboration with OpenAI on a free-tier mode, additional investment in enterprise-grade security, and the rollout of Replit Design, all aimed at broadening the product's reach.
European enterprise roster includes PwC, EY, Mercedes-Benz Group and Hg
Replit's European enterprise customer base already includes PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Mercedes-Benz Group, TrustPilot and Hg. These join a US client list that includes Accenture, Visa and Zillow, alongside partnerships with Google, Microsoft, Stripe and Slack.
Replit partners with The Lord Mayor's Appeal to train 100 NEET youth
Replit announced a partnership with the charity The Lord Mayor's Appeal (TLMA), which supports young Londoners who are not in education, employment or training (NEET). The two organizations plan to run a four-week pilot course in the coming months for 100 young people from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds, teaching "vibe-coding" skills intended to improve access to jobs and other employment opportunities.
