Scientific Games' Atlanta Plant Earns Top WLA Security Certification

Atlanta – October 19, 2026 -- Scientific Games' U.S. instant scratch game production facility, which serves nearly every U.S. state lottery, has achieved Level 2 certification under the World Lottery Association Security Control Standard 2024 (WLA-SCS:2024). Level 2 is the highest certification level for lottery suppliers under the standard.

The plant, located at the company's global headquarters in metro Atlanta, is the world's largest lottery scratch game production facility. It has held WLA security certification since 2011.

Standard combines ISO 27001:2022 with lottery-specific integrity controls

WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 merges the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 information security requirements with lottery-specific security and integrity controls set by the WLA. It specifies the practices needed for a security management structure that protects the integrity, availability and confidentiality of information critical to a lottery operator.

Certification requires an extensive independent audit, annual surveillance audits and full recertification every three years.

Andrew Jackson, VP of Corporate Responsibility, said lottery customers and players are assured products are made to the "absolute highest worldwide industry standards."

UK and Irish sites also certified to Level 2 in 2026

The company's UK instant scratch game facility achieved WLA-SCS:2024 Level 2 certification in 2026. Three other operations received the certification this year:

  • the National Logistics Centre in Warrington, UK, which serves The National Lottery;
  • the SG Studios digital game development center in Jersey, Channel Islands;
  • the lottery retailer technology facility in Ireland.
Certification portfolio spans five additional standards

Scientific Games also holds ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) and ISO 37001 (anti-bribery) certifications, plus the WLA's Responsible Gaming certification.

Its products account for 70% of instant scratch game retail sales globally. The company supplies games, technologies, analytics and services to 150 lotteries in 50 countries.
