Atlanta – September 18, 2026 -- Sensei, a Carestream Dental brand, has partnered with Zentist to deploy AI-powered remittance automation across dental practice management platforms serving U.S. dental service organizations, multi-location groups, and independent practices.
Zentist's Remit AI platform covers up to 1,500 payer and plan configurations
The tool digitizes and organizes Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) from 160 payers directly, with expanded access to as many as 1,500 payers and plans through Zentist's clearinghouse network. Billing teams currently rely on manual logins across dozens of individual payer portals to locate EOBs and resolve denied claims, a process the partnership aims to consolidate into a single dashboard.
Deployment spans Sensei Cloud and four legacy Carestream Dental systems
Starting September 15, 2026, Remit AI is available as a standalone offering to all Carestream Dental customers, including Sensei Cloud users and those on legacy practice management platforms SoftDent, OrthoTrac, WinOMS, and PracticeWorks.
Platform adds AI-driven claim denial categorization for billing teams
Remit AI uses AI to categorize claim denials and their underlying causes, allowing billing staff to prioritize follow-up work and resolve denials with greater efficiency. Ajit Viswanathan, President of Sensei Cloud at Carestream Dental, said the partnership delivers "best-in-class RCM automation" to customers now rather than requiring them to wait for future platform updates.
Zentist processed 11.2 million claims worth $2.1 billion in 2025
Manuchehr Kurbonali, Co-Founder and VP of Growth at Zentist, said dental practices have invested heavily in technology while insurance revenue collection remains largely manual and fragmented. The two companies will host a joint webinar on September 17, 2026, for practices interested in the platform.
