Los Angeles – October 13, 2026 -- Sizzle, Inc. has launched Rosa, a conversational video "Synth Human" that serves guests of Sheraton Universal Hotel around the clock in more than 33 languages, with no app download and no dedicated hotel hardware.
Guests scan a QR code in their arrival welcome letter to start a face-to-face video conversation on their own phones. Rosa answers questions on reservations, parking, valet, room service, dining, amenities and shuttle information. She connects guests with the appropriate hotel team when human assistance is required.
Hotel avoids per-room hardware spend by running Rosa on guest phones
Rosa runs directly on guests' phones, which removes the need for hotel tablets or other guest-facing devices. Russell Cox, Owner's Representative for Sheraton Universal Hotel, said the hotel can serve guests on devices they already carry, without a hardware investment in every room and without introducing advertising into the guest experience.
Sizzle describes the model as a way for hotel operators to add conversational guest engagement without a major technology installation.
Sizzle's entertainment studio produced Rosa specifically for the property
Rosa combines conversational AI with screen-production craft. Her appearance, voice and personality were designed to express the property's welcome through individual video conversations.
Sheraton Universal also receives a bespoke system to continually monitor and improve Rosa's responses. The hotel can refine the accuracy, tone and service details of her answers as information and guest needs change.
Experience Pass links hotel guests to Universal CityWalk and Universal Studios Hollywood
The hotel sits beside Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk. Sizzle's Experience Pass connects guests with hotel services and with those attractions, as well as restaurants, concerts, museums, clubs, Los Angeles sports and other destination experiences.
Brian Weiner, Founder and CEO of Sizzle, said the Sheraton Universal deployment shows how the technology can extend premium hospitality beyond the property and into the entire guest journey. Tom Beedon, General Manager of Sheraton Universal Hotel, said Rosa is meant to let guests spend less time on logistics and more time enjoying their visit.
