TENNIIX, LimX Dynamics Debut AI Tennis Robot at BJK Cup Finals

Shenzhen, China – September 23, 2026 -- TENNIIX, an official sponsor of the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup Finals, unveiled the ULTRA MAX embodied AI tennis robot, a joint development between Shenzhen Enhanced Power Technology Co., Ltd. and LimX Dynamics.

Robot challenges professional player with varied topspin and deep shots on court

In an on-court demonstration with Chinese tennis player Wang Qiang, ULTRA MAX delivered topspin shots and high, deep looping balls, varying placement to move her around the court. The exchange tested ball quality and sustained pressure, giving a professional-level opponent a demanding workout.

System pairs AI perception with a mobile robotic platform lacking external sensors

ULTRA MAX combines the TENNIIX PRO AI tennis training system with LimX Dynamics' TRON 2 mobility platform. The system tracks ball trajectories, spin and landing points, and detects player positioning and movement without external sensing equipment. Adaptive AI adjusts subsequent deliveries based on the quality of a player's returns, generating patterns including fast serves, short balls, heavy topspin and slices, with instructions relayed through voice interaction.

Wheeled-leg platform adjusts delivery height from 1.2 to 1.6 meters

LimX Dynamics' wheeled-leg robotic platform supports multidirectional movement, turning, rapid stops and stable positioning. Its adjustable structure enables delivery heights ranging from 1.2 to 1.6 meters, combining movement with height variation for more dynamic practice sessions than fixed ball-feeding machines.

Companies plan club deployment and APEC exhibition following tournament debut

Both companies are based in Shenzhen, drawing on the city's robotics and engineering ecosystem. TENNIIX intends to deploy ULTRA MAX across tennis clubs and facilities to complement coaching and expand practice access, particularly for players who struggle to find a suitably matched partner. The robot is also scheduled for exhibition at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings.
