CRRC Completes 110-Meter Recyclable Blade With 95% Material Recovery

Hamburg, Germany – September 24, 2026 -- CRRC Corporation Limited (SHA: 601766) has completed production of a 110-meter recyclable wind turbine blade in Sheyang, Jiangsu Province, achieving a recovery rate exceeding 95% for key raw materials. The blade, developed in-house, targets commercial-scale recycling of ultra-large turbine blades as China's decommissioning volumes rise.

Industry estimates cited by CRRC project that more than 30,000 wind turbines, representing 44.73 GW of capacity, will be retired in China by 2030, generating 947,900 metric tons of solid waste. CRRC launches VELLINK platform with industry's first embodied AI metro train

The flagship digital-intelligent metro train under the new VELLINK urban rail platform uses integrated multi-source sensors to create a real-time sensing network that monitors tracks and identifies potential failures, cutting lifecycle maintenance costs. Lightweight materials and deep system integration reduce total vehicle weight by approximately 18% and cut energy consumption by more than 10% compared with conventional trains. The train's industrial design has won the international iF Design Award, with cabin features including panoramic windows and rotatable seating.
