CrowdStrike Joins Anthropic's Critical Infrastructure Defense Program

Global – October 12, 2026 -- CrowdStrike has joined Anthropic's Critical Infrastructure Defense Program, gaining access to Anthropic's technical guidance and frontier cybersecurity research to defend energy, water, manufacturing and transportation networks against AI-accelerated attacks.

Program links security vendors and Anthropic's research

The program brings cybersecurity and critical infrastructure leaders together with Anthropic's technical guidance and frontier research. It also serves as a forum for sharing defensive practices and informing research. CrowdStrike says adversaries are using AI to operate faster and at greater scale, which shortens defenders' response windows.

Falcon for XIoT extends coverage across IT and OT

CrowdStrike is contributing its Falcon platform, security data spanning IT and OT, and its threat intelligence. Falcon for XIoT is built for environments that pair decades-old operational technology with modern IT, where downtime is unacceptable and patching is often impossible. According to the company, it lets defenders:

  • discover unmanaged and legacy assets;
  • assess vulnerabilities and exposure without disruptive scanning;
  • detect threats crossing between IT and OT;
  • respond with broader enterprise context.
Claude already runs inside Charlotte AI

Claude is already available within CrowdStrike Charlotte AI, which combines Anthropic's models with CrowdStrike's security context. CrowdStrike describes this as part of an open AI ecosystem around Falcon, built on the premise that customers want freedom to choose the best technology rather than commit to a single model, cloud or application.

The program extends that relationship into critical infrastructure. CrowdStrike expects it to speed the exchange of working defensive practices within a community focused on these environments.
