F-Secure, AMD Silo AI Build Trust Routing for Agentic AI Journeys

Helsinki – September 12, 2026 -- F-Secure and AMD Silo AI have jointly developed a routing technology that decides, per piece of data, whether AI processing happens on-device or in the cloud, aiming to secure consumer digital journeys as autonomous AI agents take over tasks like shopping and payments. The upcoming F-Secure TrustPath solution, built on this approach, is scheduled to enter beta in the fourth quarter of 2026 and reach production in 2027.

Consumer trust in AI has collapsed to single digits

F-Secure research cited in the announcement found that 84% of consumers worry AI makes it impossible to distinguish what is real online, while 44% are wary of using AI itself. Only 17% of consumers currently say they are ready to let AI act on their behalf, a gap the companies frame as a commercial risk for brands deploying agentic AI.

Trust model shifts from domain-level to moment-level judgment

Rather than granting blanket trust to an entire website, the joint approach evaluates each step of a digital journey individually -- a routine browsing action becomes sensitive the instant an AI agent initiates a login or payment on a page. F-Secure supplies the trust framework across the journey, while AMD Silo AI provides compute infrastructure that dynamically spans on-device and cloud-deployed AI models based on routing policy, weighing data sensitivity, cost, model capability, and performance.

Executives frame the collaboration as a response to a 'Trust Inflection Point'

"Consumers will not hand their money, their identity, or their decisions to an agent operating under a brand they don't trust," said Timo Laaksonen, President and CEO of F-Secure, referencing a market shift the company first flagged in May 2026. F-Secure CTO Santeri Kangas said the models must preserve user privacy while protecting both the user and their AI agent, requiring dynamic routing decisions to run effectively. AMD Silo AI Senior Director Jaakko Vainio said the objective is to process each event as close to the user as possible rather than routing more traffic to the largest cloud models.

F-Secure positions the launch within a broader trust-as-a-service strategy

The companies describe the collaboration as part of a series of AI-led announcements reinforcing F-Secure's position in consumer cyber security as agentic AI adoption accelerates. TrustPath is designed to secure entire digital lifestyle journeys end-to-end, from initiation to completion.
