Seoul – September 21, 2026 -- LG Energy Solution said its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has qualified as NVIDIA DSX Ready BESS, a designation reserved for partner products meeting NVIDIA's DSX reference design requirements for AI factory power infrastructure.
Qualification targets AI data center power bottlenecks
The DSX Ready program certifies building blocks for NVIDIA's DSX AI Factory Platform, which unifies compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software for AI factories. LG Energy Solution's AC-coupled BESS meets NVIDIA's applicable AC energy storage requirements, addressing AI load smoothing, voltage ride-through and power reliability challenges that data center operators face when scaling capacity.
Modular 2.5 MW blocks enable rapid deployment
The qualified system is built on modular 2.5 MW / 5.1 MWh battery blocks designed for scalable deployment and rapid capacity expansion. The integrated AC architecture supports agile grid-forming capability and fast response times, while meeting applicable UL and NFPA safety and reliability requirements.
Five North American facilities target 50 GWh of LFP capacity by 2026
LG Energy Solution operates a localized North American value chain spanning battery cell manufacturing, pack production and system integration. The company plans to secure more than 50 GWh of LFP battery cell production capacity across five regional production facilities by the end of 2026, aimed at meeting demand from data centers, infrastructure projects and utility-scale energy storage deployments.
IRA-compliant solutions qualify for Investment Tax Credit incentives
The company's offering includes both DC battery container and PCS-integrated AC battery container solutions, alongside IRA-compliant systems eligible for Investment Tax Credit incentives. Combined with a localized North American service network, LG Energy Solution positions itself to support customers requiring large-scale power solutions and long-term operational support.
