New York – September 12, 2026 -- Moonshot AI, the autonomous eCommerce website optimization platform founded in 2023, has rebranded as Shuttlebase after a naming collision with the China-based Moonshot AI, developer of the Kimi AI models, created market confusion during that company's global expansion.
Name collision with Chinese AI firm forces New York startup to rebrand
Co-founders Aviv Frenkel and Evyatar Segal said the switch was not planned but became necessary once the unrelated Chinese firm's expansion began overlapping with their brand identity in the market. "We didn't plan on changing our name, but the collision forced us to think about what we're actually building," said Frenkel, Co-Founder and CEO. "Shuttlebase captures that vision. We want to build the launchpad that allows eCommerce brands to continuously improve and move faster."
Platform automates full optimization cycle from analysis to deployment
Shuttlebase operates as an autonomous system that analyzes shopper behavior on eCommerce sites, identifies optimization opportunities, codes the change, tests it against live traffic, and deploys the winning version before restarting the cycle. The platform is trained on data from millions of real conversions, with each experiment feeding future optimization across its network.
DefenAge posts 30% revenue-per-visitor gain, Alembika earns $114,000 from single test
Early client results include a 30% increase in revenue per visitor and a 14% conversion rate lift for DefenAge, while Alembika generated $114,000 from a single experiment alongside a 10.5% increase in purchase conversion. Shuttlebase has also driven measurable revenue uplift for Credo Beauty, Kopari, Peter Thomas Roth, and P&G's Farmacy Beauty.
Company has raised $10 million from five venture backers
Shuttlebase has raised $10 million in funding from Mighty Capital, Oceans Ventures, Uncorrelated, Garuda Ventures, and Almaz Capital. "What we've built is not a smarter A/B testing tool," said Segal, Co-Founder and CTO. "It's a system that understands a website and how visitors interact with it, identifies the opportunities most likely to make an impact, and actually builds and tests the change."
