Oslo – October 15, 2026 -- TGS has secured multi-client rights from state agency PetroGuin to reprocess more than 11,000 km2 of JAAN 3D seismic data across Guinea-Bissau, with final products due in Q4 2027.

TGS builds on 2019 reprocessing with new imaging tools

The agreement builds on the parties' previous 2019 PSDM reprocessing. TGS will apply elastic dynamic-matching full waveform inversion (E-DMFWI) and Kirchhoff pre-stack depth migration (KPSDM). The company expects a significant uplift in image quality compared with the existing data.

Improved imaging targets clastic and carbonate plays

The upgraded images are meant to improve assessment of both clastic and carbonate targets across the margin. TGS says this will give explorers greater confidence in evaluating prospectivity as they plan future exploration activity in Guinea-Bissau.

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- TGS and Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) have agreed to jointly invest in research and development of next-generation seismic imaging technology, the companies announced.

Partners target eFWI and machine learning workflows

The R&D effort covers key technical domains including Elastic Full Waveform Inversion (eFWI) and machine learning–driven workflows. The work will draw on TGS' Imaging AnyWare platform and Chevron's proprietary algorithms.

Financial terms, investment size and project timelines were not disclosed in the announcement.

TGS CEO frames deal as step toward strategic imaging partnership

TGS CEO Kristian Johansen said the collaboration reflects the company's ambition to become a "true strategic imaging partner." He said combining TGS' platform, talent and scale with Chevron's geoscience expertise creates long-term value for both organizations.

TGS Wins Mediterranean Streamer Contract for 110-Day Survey

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- TGS has won a streamer acquisition contract in the Mediterranean that extends its streamer backlog well into the first quarter of 2027. A Ramform Titan-class vessel is scheduled to mobilize in the fourth quarter of 2026, and the survey is expected to run approximately 110 days.

The award covers a single survey with a duration of about 110 days. The source does not disclose the client, the contract value or the survey area within the Mediterranean.

Contract lengthens TGS streamer backlog into early 2027

CEO Kristian Johansen said the award extends the company's streamer acquisition backlog well into the first quarter of 2027. He described it as a reflection of continued demand for high-quality seismic data supporting offshore exploration activity.

TGS Wins Brunei Offshore Block Data Licensing Rights

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- TGS has been awarded data brokerage, marketing and licensing rights by the Petroleum Authority of Brunei Darussalam (PA) for subsurface data over an offshore Brunei block.

Award covers 3D seismic, well data and technical reports for one offshore block

The package includes 3D seismic data, well information and associated technical reports across the block. E&P companies can use the material to evaluate the acreage and reduce subsurface uncertainty before they take part in the block licensing process.

Brunei's PA targets international upstream investment

The project supports the Petroleum Authority's broader objective of attracting international investment into Brunei Darussalam's upstream sector. TGS says the award complements its existing multi-client footprint across the Asia Pacific region.

TGS Extends Indonesia's Largest Seismic Streamer Contract by a Month

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- TGS has secured a one-month extension to the largest seismic streamer acquisition contract offshore Indonesia, with the extension scheduled to start in August.

Extension keeps Ramform Sovereign working under the Indonesian contract

The extension covers the Ramform Sovereign vessel, which acquires data using TGS's GeoStreamer technology. TGS did not disclose the contract value, the client's identity, the survey area or the vessel's remaining backlog.

TGS CEO says extension improves revenue visibility

CEO Kristian Johansen said the extension reflects the client's continued confidence in the Ramform Sovereign and GeoStreamer. He added that the project strengthens revenue visibility while TGS delivers high-quality seismic data with industry-leading acquisition efficiency.

The extension is short, at one month. Its financial impact is therefore likely to be limited, and TGS has not published figures.

Offshore Wind FIDs Hit 2.1 GW in 2026 as Financing Costs Bite

Oslo – October 11, 2026 -- Only 2.1 GW of offshore wind capacity has reached final investment decision (FID) so far in 2026, while more than 12 GW is expected to enter operation this year, according to TGS | 4C's latest quarterly Global Market Overview.

TGS | 4C forecasts 5.6 GW will reach FID by year-end. That would make 2026 the second-lowest year for offshore wind investment decisions since 2020.

Consent awards of 22.2 GW point to the second-highest year on record

Final consents are advancing strongly, with 22.2 GW forecast to be awarded in 2026. Early-phase development assets and projects under construction are both progressing, but developers remain cautious about committing capital to the next generation of projects.

Global offshore wind capacity stands at around 92.7 GW in operation, with a further 41.2 GW under construction and 7.1 GW at FID.
